Yale Professor Defends James Franco’s Honor

Earlier this week, an instructor from New York University sued the university for wrongful termination, saying that he had been fired for giving a “D” to James Franco. Now a professor from Mr. Franco’s Ph.D. program at Yale has written to defend the actor’s academic reputation on Slate. He concludes that James Franco is able to keep up with all his reading because there’s so much downtime on the set of a blockbuster movie, and unlike regular grad students James Franco doesn’t have to do laundry or anything. “Why aren’t more Hollywood actors earning Ph.Ds?” he asks.
