While 15 Central Park West may be the most desired address in Manhattan for wealthy foreigners and finance mucketys, Riverhouse has proved to have lasting appeal for the celeb set. With Leo “Baseball Cap” DiCaprio” and Tyra “I’m Still Famous” Banks leading the charge at the eco-friendly downtown condo, Hollywoodians looking to chill with their ilk have been flocking down to the tony waterfront habitation.
It seems like the Riverhouse red carpet will continue to unfurl in 2012: Cobie Smulders of How I Met Your Mother and SNL hubby Taran Killam (you may remember him as Jimmy the Overly Touchy Orderly on Scrubs) have purchased a unit at 2 River Terrace, city records show.
The funny couple, who have a two year old baby girl, bought a three-bedroom, three-bath place in the building. While HIMYM may have gotten the snub at the Golden Globes, it doesn’t look like the couple will be mixing with the 99% rabble any time soon: they spent $2 million on the 1,580-square-foot abode.
The condo includes a 650-square-foot planted terrace on an upper level, described in the listing as a “stairway to heaven.” Oooo, it makes us wonder.
Mr. Killam and Ms. Smulders will also enjoy a separated 190-square-foot master suite where they can line read late into the night without fear of waking their little one. The master bath features radiant floors (lest those small screen toes catch cold!), a soaking tub and a separate shower.
