During the run of its recent Carsten Höller show, the New Museum raised its adult ticket price from $12 to $16, citing the need to pay extra personnel to monitor Mr. Holler’s interactive projects. Now, with the show over, it is lowering the price to $14. The New York Times‘ ArtsBeat blog had the news this afternoon.
As The Times‘ Randy Kennedy notes, next up at the New Museum is “The Ungovernables,” its second triennial, which we wrote about back in December. Curated by Eungie Joo, it runs through April 22, and will, as always, be open to the public for free on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m.
Our advice: take those $2 you saved and put them toward a delicious New Museum Cookie from its Birdbath Bakery on the ground floor.
