Mike McMahon Emerges, Sort Of

Rumors are circling that former Congressman Mike McMahon is thinking about suddenly entering the race against the man who defeated him in 2010, GOP Congressman Michael Grimm. Serious fundraising allegations against Mr. Grimm, which he denies, could be a motivating factor in getting the Democrat to consider making a return to Washington.

And after months of lying low, Mr. McMahon is out with an op-ed piece in the Washington D.C. political publication The Hill. Although the topic matter is a little obscure, U.S.-Azerbaijan relations, the tone of the article is distinctly Congressional, striking mature, bipartisan notes:
