One Tree Comes to Brooklyn: James Lafferty Buys at The Edge

The Edge

Are you on the edge about The Edge? Would the knowledge that another Hollywood boy toy has bought in the luxury Brooklyn building (no, that’s not an oxymoron anymore!) alter your opinion? Indeed, Ed Westwick has a new teeny-soap star neighbor. “One Tree Hill” actor  James Lafferty has just bought a two bedroom, two bath unit at The Edge, The Observer has learned.

He signed the deed on the place a few weeks ago, city records show and paid  $814,600. He lists his current address as Beverly Hills. While there is no available listing for the specific unit, a representative working with The Edge said Mr. Lafferty’s apartment spanned 1,057 square feet. Similarly sized and priced units show a 180-square-foot master bedroom with an en suite bathroom, a washer/dryer and a heavily windowed living room area. Not to mention the building’s Hollywood-worthy amenities which include a pool, waterfront access (with a water taxi-stop), two fitness centers, virtual golf and a gaming room.

It seems that Mr. Lafferty hasn’t always been on board the Brooklyn train. Last September, he posted a comment on Twitter ahead of a trip to the borough: “Brooklyn bound. Time to see what all the fuss is about. I might come back wearing skinny jeans and suspenders,” he wrote.

He must have decided that skinny jeans become him after all.
