Harlem Congressman Charlie Rangel no stranger to either controversy or to Fox Business News appeared on the network’s “Follow The Money” program and, had a simple response to some graphs that showed public sector workers make more money than private sector workers.

The private sector, Mr. Rangel said, is racist.

“A lot of women are involved in these lower income jobs, a lot of minorities,” the congressman said, adding. “The government doesn’t have the racism and discrimination that the private sector enjoys.”

Asked by the host if he meant that the private sector discriminates, Mr. Rangel replied “There’s no doubt about it. People don’t like to talk about it because it’s uncomfortable.”
