Is Tommy Hilfiger looking to ditch his pad at the Plaza for a place in the soaring One57 tower?
The Plaza seems more inline with the fashion icon’s tastes than the sleek new residential tower, but The New York Post reports that Mr. Hilfiger was spotted in the development’s sales office.
Well, fashions and styles do change with the times (although Mr. Hilfiger’s preppy ones are pretty reliable), and the fashion king has made moves to leave the Plaza in the past, like when he tried to flip his $25 million duplex for $50 million. (Although we’d say that Mr. Hilfiger wasn’t really looking to leave with an asking price like that.)
In any event, Mr. Hilfiger had better move fast, as Russian and Chinese tycoons have reportedly been snapping up deluxe units in the rippled tower faster than it’s rising over Columbus Circle.
