The co-founders of the Dallas Art Fair have announced a new art and design benefit fair called FOG that will help support the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

FOG will take place Jan. 16–20, 2013, in the Fort Mason Festival Pavilion in the Bay Area. Participating galleries will include local cornerstones such as John Berggruen Gallery, Fraenkel Gallery, Hedge, Anthony Meier Fine Arts and Silverman. The fair’s steering committee will consist of Douglas Durkin, Stanlee Gatti, Katie Paige, Allison Speer and Cathy Topham.

The fair’s co-founders Chris Byrne and John Sughrue spoke to Blouin Artinfo and told the publication that the name FOG “doesn’t stand for anything,” so don’t let all those capital letters fool you.
