David ‘Destruction’ Schwimmer Hits Nasty Neighbor With Construction Debris

Smiling won't be as easy when the papers are served!

There has been a few rumbles in the East Village over Friends’ superstar David Schwimmer.

Mr. Schwimmer knocked down a historic building last year to build his dream mansion, ignoring several Landmarks Preservation Commission letters and annoying neighbors.

The conflict intensified as one passerby was innocently struck with a piece of debris, DNAInfo reports:

The debris caromed off a scaffold and struck the person, the FDNY said. They were taken to Bellevue Hospital with a minor arm injury.

The incident at 331 E. Sixth St. occurred about 2:40 p.m., fire officials said. It was not immediately clear whether the man injured was a worker at the site or someone passing by.

Oh, the sweet smell of a lawsuit!

“Mr. Bigshot made a mistake tearing down this building,” a 62-year-old neighbor, Charlotte, told DNAInfo, “He paid a pretty penny and built some shiny silver thing. He’s like a wart on the block. He doesn’t belong here.”

Poor Mr. Schwimmer. Even in real life, nobody loves Ross.
