As part of a tribute to Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., on April 11, Housing Works will be auctioning off prints made by the author as well as a watercolor by Vonnegut’s son.
The painting, pictured at left, features the view of the pond in Barnstable, Mass. that Kurt Vonnegut looked out on as he wrote his second novel, Sirens of Titan (as well as a few other works). Vonnegut would often include his own drawings and sketches in his books, which served as both plot advancements and disruptions.
April 11 marks the five-year anniversary of the writer’s death.
