Pollock Named Pollster Of The Year

Jefrey Pollock has been named the Democratic Pollster of the Year by the the American Association of Political Consultants.

Mr. Pollock is the president and founder of Global Strategy Group, a political consultancy that engineered a number of high-profile races in the past year, including Kathy Hochul’s surprise win in an upstate New York special election, a race, Mr. Pollock’s office says,  “that was notable for reframing the debate on Medicare.

Mr. Pollock also helped engineer Earl Ray Tomblin’s victory in the West Virginia gubernatorial race and Jack Conway’s reelection bid as Kentucky’s Attorney General.

Mr. Pollock is much in demand locally, but appears to be sitting out the 2013 race since he has worked with three of the biggest contenders in various capacities–Christine Quinn, Bill de Blasio and Scott Stringer.

In a release, Global’s notes that they also count  Kirsten Gillibrand and Montana’s Brian Schweitzer as clients and Mr. Pollock adds, ““I’m fortunate to have worked with some of the most devoted and accomplished candidates of my career over the past year. They provided the real passion that produced their victories in these races and we were thrilled to be a part of their campaigns.”
