Heading to Brooklyn: it’s a life change made by NY1’s Pat Kiernan, zillions of adulterous mommies, and now Westchester native Rooney Mara. Ms. Mara’s arrival in the borough comes with a set of italics, though–she’s set to play the lead in an adaptation of Colm Toibin’s novel Brooklyn. Ms. Mara is to play a young Irish immigrant in an indie film that is to start shooting in spring 2013. She proved in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo she’s a master of accents–but can she bear to be shorn of her baby bangs?
