Producer Lorne Michaels is claiming that presumptive Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney is not to appear on Saturday Night Live this season, saying that “the primaries overtook everything” when it came to arranging a guest spot. Last election cycle, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, and Sarah Palin all dropped by, and Mr. Romney’s onetime rival Jon Huntsman took the stage this cycle. Saturday Night Live has three new episodes remaining in its current season, but Mr. Michaels claims all hope is not lost for those craving the comedy stylings of Mitt: ”It might be in the fall, but we’ll never know, that’ll all depend on his availability.”
