A bridge too far? Senate passes flood control allocation of $10 million

TRENTON – The Senate pased the Marcellus Bridge Bill moments ago by a vote of 27-9.

Sen. Robert Gordon (D-38) introduced the bill, the last one considered by the senate today – a supplemental appropriation for $10 million to address flooding issues at the Marsellus Street bridge in Garfield.

This was the measure Assemblyman Tim Eustace (D-38) and Assemblywoman Connie Wagner (D-38) required before being able to vote for the budget.

“See you Thursday,” announced Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3) after the vote.
