Ms. Blumenstein.

Ellen Blumenstein has been named the chief curator at Kunst-Werke in Berlin. The news has been reported by German newspapers.

KW’s founding director was Klaus Biesenbach, and the institution has maintained a close relationship with New York’s MoMA PS1, where Mr. Biesenbach is currently the director. At KW, working with curators like Anselm Franke, Mr. Biesenbach helped build the careers of such artists as Doug Aitken, Dinos & Jake Chapman, Paul Pfeiffer and Santiago Sierra.

Between 1998 and 2005, Ms. Blumenstein worked at KW alongside Mr. Biesenbach and was one of the co-curators of the controversial “Regarding Terror” show, which focused on the Red Army Faction. She will begin her new position in January.
