Krist Gruijthuijsen, the co-founder of Amsterdam’s Kunstverein, an art organization that bills itself as a “domestic franchise and functioning curatorial office,” has been tapped as the new artistic director of the Grazer Kunstverein, in Graz, Austria, Art Review’s website reports.
Mr. Gruijthuijsen, a writer, curator and artist, served as curatorial adviser for Manifesta 7 and is currently course director of the master’s degree program in Sandberg Institute’s Fine Arts Department.
Kunstverein, which presents a wide-ranging program of talks, screenings and exhibitions, among its myriad activities, has branches in Amsterdam (where it was started by Maxine Kopsa and Mr. Gruijthuijsen), Milan and New York.
Congratulations, Mr. Gruijthuijsen.
