Nate Freeman To Save New York Daily News: Former New York Observer alumnus, ArtInfo reporter, media power bachelor and softball no-show Nate Freeman is part of the New York Daily News' new gossip team that's being assembled in light of Frank DiGiacomo's departure. Former Post writer Brian Niemietz is there along with some lady who went unnamed in Capital New York's report on the matter. We hear that Colin Myler himself is behind the changes and reorganization of the gossip beat, which would make sense, because we know Nate Freeman as, quite frankly, the only thing that could ever save the New York Daily News from the kind of circumstantial peril that a daily tabloid newspaper faces in 2012, especially one helmed by the guy whose last gig involved the Concordia-like disaster that was the end of News of the World.
