Cable TV notification bill held

TRENTON – The Senate Economic Growth Committee held A753/S2145 at the request of its sponsor, Steve Oroho, (R-24), Franklin.

Under this bill, a cable TV company would have to post on its web site information about its rates and terms.

Also, the bill would allow cable TV companies to avoid sending non-technical explanations of its rates and prices to customers if that information is on the web site.

However, the bill would give customers the option of electing to receive such information in written form on an annual basis, or if they lack internet access.

This bill passed the Assembly in June by a vote of 77-0-2.
