Fifty Shades of Grey Soundtrack Sets Bondage to Bach

Fifty Shades of Grey Soundtrack Sets Bondage to BachCould this be the thing that boosts classical music sales? EMI Classics is set to release the album Fifty Shades of Grey, fifteen tracks of classical music selected by E L James to accompany her bestselling erotic novel. Tracks are to include Pachelbel’s Canon, a Bach aria, and more, with Vintage Books describing the music as “mysterious and alluring… with just the slightest hint of danger.” Just like watching someone read Fifty Shades on the subway!

We remain suspicious that the soundtrack to this novel is probably all actually just tracks from the Twilight soundtrack with new titles. Meanwhile, the publishers of Jonah Lehrer’s Imagine are working on a licensing deal with the office of Bob Dylan to put forth a compelling listening experience, with the slightest hint of danger.
