When the Party-Goers Go Museum-Hopping

Beth Rudin DeWoody with daughter Kyle. (Patrick McMullan)

Beth DeWoody’s favorite museum is The Museum of Jurassic Technology in Culver City. So they tell us over at Architectural Digest where the Inquisitive Guest has been at it again taking to all the grand fêtes to gather information about the artful inclinations of celebrities for our inquiring minds. Ms. DeWoody’s choice is a little obscure. But then again, with homes in West Palm Beach and Southampton filled with contemporary art that could challenge the collection of many museums, Ms. DeWoody must need to branch out a bit when she takes an outing to an actual museum.

For MoMA P.S. 1 director Klaus Biesenbach, the Gold Museum in Bogotá, Colombia took the top spot. Gina Gershon likes the Egon Schiele Museum in Austria. George Lucas chose the Frank Gehry-designed Guggenheim Bilbao, Spain. But he’s got designs of his own. “I’m in the process of building my own museum,” Mr. Lucas told Architectural Digest. “I’ll probably design it myself.”

And he’s not the only celebrity who wants to run his own museum. Alison Klayman? Bob Colacello? You’ll have to read the piece to find out who.
