Art book publisher Taschen is releasing a multivolume set of illustrator R. Crumb’s sketches, edited by Mr. Crumb himself, covering the years 1964 to 2011. The sketches will be released in two sets, 1964 to 1981, and 1982 to 2011. (Taschen said that it is releasing years 1982 to 2011 first, at the request of Mr. Crumb, who said there is “fan demand for new Crumb material.”)

The first set to be released includes 1,344 pages of Mr. Crumb’s work, which has 600 examples of unreleased material.
