The Pen Parentis salon—for writers and writer-adjacent types who also happen to be parents—convenes tonight to share writing as well as, perhaps, tips for putting little Ficus and Everleigh to bed so that you can focus on your Word document! Tonight’s readers are novelist John Reed, National Book Award nominee and teacher René Steinke and Brooklyn Rail founder Theodore Hamm. The event’s in Manhattan, and two-thirds of the readers will be headed back to Brooklyn afterward. See you on the F!
Private salon at Wall & Water at Andaz Wall Street, 75 Wall Street, 6:30pm, free admission, information can be found at penparentis.org.
