Nielsen ratings are in for last night's debate. An estimated 65.6 million people watched the second debate last night.

The town hall-style debate, which was a bit more lively than the first one, but was viewed by slightly less people. According to Nielsen, 67.2 million people watched the last debate. Nielsen figures don't include unrated networks like C-SPAN (or, obviously, people watching on laptops).

The debate at Hofstra University was carried across 12 networks.

This debate got more than 2.4 million more viewers than the second presidential debate between then Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain in 2008.
