Ding ding ding. While everybody else was busy debating the first presidential debate last night, bidding for Lena Dunham's book, tentatively titled Not That Kind of Girl, climbed to 3.6 million, DeadlineNY reports.

And the bidding is not over yet--it is expected to go even higher. No word from her literary agent, Kim Witherspoon (who herself was a young literary star--founding her own agency at the Dunham-appropriate age of 26) at InkWell Management, on when the "unique" auction will end, or who is in the running to publish the book. Ms. Witherspoon represents big-name female authors like Sophie Kinsella, Lionel Shriver and Rebecca Wells, as well as celebrity chefs such as Anthony Bourdain and Gabrielle Hamilton.

Looks like Ms. Dunham is that kind of girl--the kind who can get multimillion-dollar book advances.
