Bloomberg’s Katya Kazakina writes that Andy Warhol’s 1962 Statue of Liberty will be up for auction at Christie’s Post-War and Contemporary Evening Sale in New York on Nov. 14. The red-and-green silkscreen work, which is expected to bring in some $35 million, is one example of Warhol’s experiments with 3-D.

“If you put on 3-D glasses, it becomes a grainy, black and white 3-D photograph,” Brett Gorvy, chairman and international head of postwar and contemporary art at Christie’s, told Bloomberg. “We’ll be giving 3-D glasses with our catalogs.” Sounds likely to become a collectible!
