Photos: Even More Shots of Hurricane Sandy’s Wrath

As all New Yorkers are well aware, Hurricane Sandy brought a devastating combination of winds and ocean surges to the city last night, resulting in a multiple deaths and untold amounts of property damage. Throughout it all, as with many major emergencies, a remarkable collection of photos capturing the action emerged.

While The Observer shot a number of photos of the flooding in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn in the height of the storm, other parts of the city were heavily affected as well. In the gallery on the left, you can find a selection of what a few photographers were able to capture during and after the storm.
