Tonight the Tibet Fund throws itself a bash at Le Cirque—with the help of Eric Ripert. The chef of Le Bernardin (a venue that apparently was already booked!), and others like chef Laurent Manrique of Millesime and Jeremy McMillan, chef at friend-of-Tibet Richard Gere’s upstate eatery, are to cook five courses for guests. The whole shebang is in honor of Lodi Gyaltsen Gyari, the former special envoy of the Dalai Lama himself, who’s traveled the world as the face of Tibetan culture. There’s also an auction—including bounties like a guided trek through the Himalayas!
Le Cirque, 151 East 58th Street, 7pm, tickets can be purchased by writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
