Report: Christie tries to clarify his praise for Obama

Appearing yesterday in Hoboken with Homeland Security head Janet Napolitano, Gov. Chris Christie attempted to put in context his much interpreted praise of President Barack Obama’s storm response.

“This shows you how broken our political system is,” he said, as quoted by the Star-Ledger. “Because I say something nice about someone who does their job well, somehow that takes away my endorsement of Mitt Romney.

“Believe me, I can tell you this much: There are two people who know for sure, besides me, who I’m voting for on Tuesday: Mitt Romney and the president of the United States.”
