To Do Friday: Time to Give Back

It’s not too early to think about volunteering over the holidays—in fact, if you’d like to pitch in during this particularly poignant post-Sandy Thanksgiving, time is of the essence. Though the city’s charitable organizations need our support all year long, the end-of-year holidays are a time when we are all particularly inspired to give back. So we’re taking the time today to fill out the Citymeals-on-Wheels application, for volunteer opportunities to prepare, serve and deliver meals during the season—after all, the holidays are that much brighter when we’re able to share something with our fellow New Yorkers.

The Citymeals-on-Wheels holiday volunteer application can be found at citymeals.org/volunteer-with-us; other volunteer opportunities can be found at nycharities.org.
