We got goodies for some of those on our gift list at the Pier Antiques Show this past weekend, but those who deserve something a little more, well, contemporary have yet to be crossed off. That’s why we’re dropping in on the Independent Curators International benefit auction, where works by the likes of Olaf Breuning and Ellen Phelan are on the block (along with a stay in St. Barts and a weekend in Newport). The art of socializing will be well-represented as well, as philanthropist and art patron Agnes Gund presents an award to Russian magazine editrix Dasha Zhukova.

The Prince George Ballroom, 15 East 27th Street, honoree hour at 6:30pm, auction with cocktails, food and dancing at 7:30pm, tickets and information can be found at http://tinyurl.com/8dayNov19.
