Just like the rest of us, Wall Streeters have to blow off steam somehow, and those not interested in Glenlivet or high-end gentlemen’s clubs may choose to rock out (for charity). Two amateur bands composed of bank types, Stone Hedge and The Subscribers, are to take the stage at the charitable Wall Street Rocks Battle of the Bands Finale, the culmination of a culling process that left many a banking bassist feeling the worst he’d been since fall of 2008. The bands are to be joined by 1990s rockers including the Spin Doctors (remember them? Yes, you do!) in order to raise money for Sandy relief.
Irving Plaza, 17 Irving Place, 6:30pm, general admission tickets available through livenation.com.
