According to the Census Bureau’s population clock, there are currently 315 million people in the United States. But the chance that any of them are talking to each other is pretty slim.
That’s because a new report from NPD Group shows that gadgets that connect to the Internet now outnumber their American owners. Between tablets, video game consoles, Blu-ray disc players, computers, and smartphones, NPD estimates that there are 425 million devices in U.S. households. And that doesn’t even take into account the growing population of native American drones!
