To Do Wednesday: Jade in America

This photo taken on May 16, 2011 shows aIt’s Asia Week, so celebrate with the opening of “Hongshan, Late Neolithic Jades” at Throckmorton Fine Art. Beautiful yet simple pieces include a C-shaped jade dragon from China, circa 2500. The Year of the Dragon ended on February 9 (it’s now the Year of the Snake), but that shouldn’t stop you from partying as if it were your Chinese zodiac year, so bust out the fireworks—for after the opening.

Throckmorton Fine Art, 145 East 57th Street, Third floor, (212) 223-1059, 6-8pm, by invitation only.
