Gov. Chris Christie picked up the endorsements of New Jersey’s congressional Republican delegation, the governor’s re-election campaign announced Thursday.
The six Republican members of the Garden State’s congressional delegation announced their “unanimous support” for the Republican incumbent.
“I am honored not only by the support from each of these extremely well-respected members, but also by the partnership they have offered over the past three years whenever it was needed,” Christie said in a statement.”
“We all share a fervent belief in standing up for our taxpayers, controlling the cost of government while protecting our essential priorities, creating jobs and growing our economy,” he said. “I’m proud to accept their endorsement and to keep fighting for those priorities for New Jerseyans’, including the bipartisan tax cut our middle and working class families deserve.”
The state’s Republican congressional delegation is comprised of U.S. Reps. Jon Runyan (NJ-3), Frank Lobiondo (NJ-2), Rodney Frelinghuysen (NJ-11), Scott Garrett (NJ-5), Leonard Lance (NJ-7) and Chris Smith (NJ-4).
