$26.3 M. in NEA Grants for Performa, Public Art Fund and 815 Other Institutions

It’s a big day at the NEA today, which just announced the 817 institutions receiving $26.3 million in funding as part of its Art Works grants program. About a quarter of the recipients, 218, hail from New York; those grants total $8.24 million. The news comes to us from Artforum.

Grants to New York groups include $20,000 to support lectures and symposia at the American Folk Art Museum, $30,000 to Franklin Furnace for art projects addressing climate change, $35,000 to Performa to support its upcoming biennial, $35,000 to the Public Art Fund and $25,000 to Wave Hill.
