Imagine if Cindy Sherman and Robert Mapplethorpe had a daughter who loved high fashion. Meet conceptual artist Andrea Mary Marshall, who creates often-shocking self-portraits using video, drawing and photography. Ms. Marshall’s latest works were inspired by the themes of fetish and fashion. “Body is used as mannequin, master, mistress and muse,” Ms. Marshall explains. The first in a series of exhibitions that trendy luxury e-boutique Anthem Wares has planned, Ms. Marshall’s provocative pieces will be sold online and at the pop-up shop along with glamorous goods by Chromat, Fleet Ilya and Zana Bayne, which also sell on the site. P.S.: The dress code is “Fetish Fashion” and the night’s hashtag is #thinkkink.
The Anthem Wares Pop-Up, 175 Mott Street, 7-9pm, by invitation only.
