New York Post Works ‘Carlos Danger’ Reference Into Unrelated Sports Story

front0724131 New York Post Works Carlos Danger Reference Into Unrelated Sports StoryThe New York Post may have squandered its chance to make several Anthony Weiner puns this morning, but fear not, broken-hearted New Yorkers, the tabloid is still up for some pun fun with the serial sexting mayoral candidate–even if it means inserting a Weiner reference (yeah, we know what we did there) where there is no need.

To wit, a sports story on the recent Mets triumph over the Braves was headlined, “Carlos avoids danger early, puts on impressive display as Mets whack Braves.”

But the lede is an even better dig at Mr. Weiner: “Carlos Torres was in so much early trouble last night he could have adopted the moniker ‘Carlos Danger’ while displaying his assortment of junk.”

Mr. Weiner, it should be noted, is a Mets fan.
