Art dealer Emilio Steinberger has joined New York’s Dominique Lévy Gallery, The Observer has learned. Mr. Steinberger comes to the gallery from Hauser & Wirth, which he joined earlier this year, after Christie’s closed its Haunch of Venison gallery, where he was senior international director. Ms. Lévy told The Observer that while she isn’t very interested in titles, “if you had to give him a title, it would be senior director.”

Ms. Lévy, who parted ways with her partner Robert Mnuchin in the L&M Gallery last year, is set to open a tony new space at 909 Madison on the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 18, with an exhibition called “Audible Presence: Lucio Fontana, Yves Klein, Cy Twombly.”
