If you’re already having a major complex on how the size of your appendage appears on your phone, Snapchat’s newest incarnation won’t help matters. Preferred sexting vehicle Snapchat said it’s releasing an app for that yet-to-be-released Samsung Galaxy Gear watch you’re all clamoring to get your hands on.
Snapchat Micro contains the same features as the full-sized app, but it’s specifically catered to the watch’s 1.63-inch screen. You can snap pictures, set them to dissolve up to ten seconds and even send videos using the watch. Contorting your wrist into an awkward direction sounds like a skill dedicated Snapchatters have already mastered.
Of course, those are not the most flattering measurements, but at least the camera has 1.9 megapixels ensuring extra clarity. TechCrunch notes that the snaps can also be opened up on your Galaxy Note 3, for comparison’s sake.
Aside from iPhone and Android versions, this is Snapchat’s latest expansion into other platforms. Founder Evan Spiegel said the company doesn’t have plans to bring it to Google Glass.
“Our team is constantly looking at ways to reduce the time between our experience of a moment and our ability to share it,” remarked Mr. Spiegel. “The Snapchat Micro app is an experiment we’re really excited about.”
