The New Yorkers for Children (NYFC) benefit truly rings in the social season of black-tie galas. This year, Nicholas Scoppetta, a former foster child who became a deputy mayor, the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) commissioner and the fire commissioner and is the president emeritus and founder of NYFC, is being honored by chairs who include Susan L. Burden, Oscar de la Renta, Beth Rudin DeWoody, Hugh Jackman, Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos, Paul Kanavos, and Kelly and Jay Sugarman.
