To Do Wednesday: Acoustic Fix

Tired Pony.

Tired Pony.

Is it any surprise that the only scheduled U.S. show by this country-edged super group consisting of Gary Lightbody (Snow Patrol), Peter Buck (R.E.M.), Iain Archer, Richard Colburn (Belle & Sebastian), Scott McCaughey (The Minus 5), Troy Stewart (The Windsor Player) and Garret “Jacknife” Lee is already sold out? No, but perhaps you’ll find someone with an extra ticket for this acoustic set featuring four of the bunch, to benefit Housing Works’s mission to end AIDS and homelessness, or at least stand outside and soak up the sound as they perform songs from their new album, Ghost of the Mountain, which features guest vocals by Minnie Driver.

Housing Works Bookstore Café, 126 Crosby Street, 212-334-3324, 10 p.m., $25
