Laura Brounstein will be the special projects director for Cosmopolitan, the magazine announced today.
In her new position, Ms. Brounstein will be responsible for “executing and generating off-the-page ideas for the brand,” as well as contributing to the magazine as an editor and writer. She will report to editor in chief Joanna Coles.
Ms. Brounstein, who began her career as the public relations director at Seventeen, comes to Hearst from Bauer Publishing, where she was the editorial director for the Teen Group. Before going to Bauer, she was the entertainment director at Self and spent five years as the entertainment editor at Ladies’ Home Journal.
