Snapchat CEO Would Prefer You Not Ask Him Any Tough Questions, Thanks

He sat down with a local paper on the condition that no 'controversial' questions be asked.

Seems like Evan Spiegel, CEO of Snapchat, is tired of answering questions about dick pics and lawsuits.

Romenesko points out the disclosure at the bottom of this lengthy, cozy interview with Mr. Spiegel by the Palisadian-Post, a local outlet down the way from Snapchat’s HQ in Venice Beach. It reveals:

“Full disclosure: Spiegel agreed to be the interviewed by the Palisadian-Post under the guideline that no controversial questions would be asked. He also would not let this reporter audiotape the interview.”

Guess he wanted a change to burnish his tech wunderkind bona fides without journalistic interference: “I was a pretty nerdy kid and shy through most of school…. I was best friends with my computer teacher and built my own PC by the time I was in sixth grade.” Riveting stuff.
