With just a week to go until Election Day, comptroller candidate Scott Stringer is out with a new web ad reminding voters that there are other races on the ballot too.

The new spot, titled “Our Journey,” features excerpts from Mr. Stringer’s primary night speech, when the Manhattan borough president declared victory against the far better known ex-Gov. Eliot Spitzer in order to become the Democratic nominee.

“Our journey is just beginning. We have to work everyday to really create a city that we all will be proud of and bring this city together,” Mr. Stringer says in the ad as sweeping music plays.

Mr. Stringer, the odds-on favorite, is facing Republican Wall Street veteran John Burnett, who has tried to paint Mr. Stringer as a career politician with little financial know-how–once even going as far as to suggest Mr. Stringer sold his soul to the powers-that-be.
