In New York, dumplings are becoming as ubiquitous as hot dogs. But while you probably don’t want to make your own hot dogs, you can impress your friends at your next dinner party by whipping up classic pork and chive, as well as Peking duck dumpling with hoisin dipping sauce, which you’ll learn how to make in this class taught by Rickshaw Dumpling co-founder Kenny Lao. Bonus: Enjoy beer from the Brooklyn Brewery while you learn how to fry, steam and pan-sear (you probably already know how to nosh on them, and Brooklyn Kitchen promises you won’t walk away hungry). Class participants get a 10 percent discount on equipment that day from the Brooklyn Kitchen.
