Christine Shipley named executive director of Senate Republican Office

Christine Shipley has been named Executive Director of the Senate Republican Office.

There is not a more professional and upstanding individual to head the Senate Republican Office as we pursue the people’s priorities.”

Shipley previously served as a Legislative Analyst in the Government Relations Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Education under Gov. Tom Ridge, and as Assistant Counsel to Gov. Christine Todd Whitman.

Shipley joined the Senate Republican Office in 2000 as Special Counsel, staffing the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Senate Education Committee. She has also staffed the Health, Human Services & Senior Citizens Committee, and served as Chief Counsel; Research Director; and Deputy Executive Director of Policy and Planning.

Shipley is a 1992 graduate of the University of Richmond where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.  In 1995, she earned a juris doctorate from the Dickinson School of Law and was licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  She became licensed to practice law in New Jersey in 1998.
