TRENTON – At a Hurricane Sandy oversight hearing on Tuesday at the Statehouse, Fair Share Housing Center Associate Director Kevin Walsh grilled the Senate Legislative Oversight Committee with ten questions regarding the Hurricane Sandy recovery effort, strongly questioning the efforts of Gov. Chris Christie’s administration.
“We have more questions than we do answers,” said Walsh, an attorney and fair housing advocate, addressing a committee where no members of the Christie administration were present.
“The state has a fairly well-developed [recovery] process that nobody knows about,” added Walsh, whose advocacy organization has provided critical data analysis of the Sandy recovery process. “They literally wrote the rules after they had given out the [recovery fund] money.”
