Tricia Y. Paik has been tapped by the Indianapolis Museum of Art to be its new curator of contemporary art, beginning this summer. Dr. Paik, who earned her M.A. and Ph.D. from New York University, will come to Indianapolis from the Saint Louis Art Museum, where she serves as associate curator of modern and contemporary art. She has also previously worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art.

“I am thrilled to welcome Tricia Paik as the newest member of the IMA’s curatorial team,” the IMA’s director, Charles L. Venable, said in a statement that was sent to press. “I’m confident that her proven deep art historical knowledge and her dedication to contemporary artists, academic scholarship and community engagement will build upon the museum’s already robust contemporary art program and help move us forward in new and exciting ways.”
