Longtime Observer editor Peter Kaplan, who passed away last year, is honored at a memorial and brunch today at the Society of Illustrators. Share your memories or simply learn about the man who shaped this paper into what it is today. You can also make donations to the Peter W. Kaplan Scholarship Fund, founded by the Society of Illustrators to honor “Peter’s love of and strong commitment to illustration.” The fund provides financial assistance to illustration students.
