How to Enter Tribeca Film Festival’s Vine Competition

Winners will meet with Gary Vaynerchuk's GrapeStory Vine ad agency.

vine 17This is one small step for bored teenagers, but a giant leap for micro-film advocates.

For the second year running, the Tribeca Film Festival will include a Vine competition. Winners will get a meeting with Gary Vaynerchuk’s Vine marketing agency, GrapeStory, as well as a profile and interview on TribecaFilm.com.

Viners can enter as many six-second videos as that want, under the intensely caps-locked-and-hashtagged categories #GENRE#DRAMA#COMEDY, or #ANIMATION (but sadly, there’s no #SEXY category), Tribeca’s site says.

Each Vine should have a beginning, middle and end while unique characters, world and plots are encouraged, the site says. Viners should tag them #6SECFILMS along with one of the categories. Vines must be shared to Twitter in order to be considered.

After that, the @TribecaVine Twitter account will message you. Follow the steps, and you’re in. The deadline for creating a Vine is 11:59 p.m. on March 27.
